La Duree

For amazing macaroons and my personal favourite - the most yummy raspberry and passionfruit tart... it has to be La Duree. There are a few dotted around Paris so you just can't go without!

Be prepared to queue a fair while as their macaroons are in high demand!

Musee d'Orsay

For art lovers that don't want to spend the whole day queuing at the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay is a wonderful way to spend a few hours. When we went to Paris last winter, we saw the most amazing Impressionist art there, famous Manet and Monets... and we only had a couple of hours. There was so much more to see. I definitely want to take another trip!

***An added bonus for the 18-25 year old citizens of the EU - free entry!!***

Dinner at La Cigale Recamier

4 Rue RĂ©camier, 75007 Paris, France    +33 1 42 22 51 75

We were hungry and lost when we were recommended the Recamier by a policeman...

The restaurant is famous for its souffles (starter, mains and desserts), but we both ordered steak...

...the best steak ever - Tom nearly cried...

However, we did sample the rum and raisin souffle for dessert for research purposes...

...and it was amazing.

GO HERE - THIS DINNER WAS OUR FAVOURITE MOMENT OF THE TRIP
(booking is highly recommended)
